According to regulations issued by the British health department, from June 1, 2025, the sale, supply or possession of disposable e-cigarettes throughout the UK (including online and offline channels) will be classified as an illegal act.
IVG clears the market 90 days in advance and fully supports legislation
As a leading brand in the UK e-cigarette market, IVG completely stopped the production and supply of disposable e-cigarette products as early as March 1, 2025, nearly 90 days ahead of the ban. The company said that this move is aimed at leaving enough inventory clearance cycle for cooperative retailers, while showing "full support" for government policies. According to the retail distribution data (RDP) released by IVG, its disposable products currently cover more than 45,000 retail outlets across the UK, including large supermarket chains such as Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda, and convenient retail channels such as Shell, BP gas stations, WHSmith, Nisa and Euro Garages. IVG emphasized that it has launched a special team to assist partners in completing inventory management and compliance transition.
The brand aims to become the first of the three major e-cigarette brands in the UK (IVG, SKE Crystal and ELF) to completely stop using disposable products.
Industry experts said that IVG's active withdrawal may trigger a chain reaction, prompting more companies to accelerate the adjustment of their product structure. The current annual market size of disposable e-cigarettes in the UK is about 1.2 billion pounds, accounting for more than 60% of the total sales of e-cigarettes. As the ban approaches, the industry reshuffle is a foregone conclusion, and compliance and sustainability will become the core competitiveness of enterprises' survival.
